Plant a 12" container garden to place on your patio for the summer with 5 different herbs, parsley, sweet basil, Thyme, chives & cascade rosemary. We will give you simple recipes for using your fresh herbs to flavor and seasoning your favorite recipes. Bring your gloves and small trowel. We will furnish the plants, soil, container, and information handouts. Class fee $25 per person (to cover the cost of supplies) and registration is required. Please contact the library to register.
Let's Talk Water! Year after year we watch water run into the streets, ditches and storm drains. Rain gardens help to slow down this process and allow more water to soak into the soil. If you have areas on your property that you can use to build a rain garden you could utilize water that would otherwise be wasted. Water is also wasted going through our gutters and out the downspouts. This class will give you ideas on how to make simple rain barrels to place around in your property and gardens.
You are invited to a discussion of The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker at our monthly book talk.
